    • Tested coil and injector on #2 – found the coil has very weak output. Installed a used coil from stock, cleared codes, and test drove. Misfire is gone.
    • Can see the inner door handle cable is broken. It is less common for the cable to fatigue and break. It is more common for the latch to seize -requiring excessive force on the cable to open the door. We will not know if the latch is good until we disassemble the door

    • performed testing and there is trouble codes P0304 cylinder #4 miss fire, P0306 cylinder #6 miss fire and a code P0300 random cylinder miss fire. While inspecting noticed the engine bay is filled with leafs and also observed a rodent nest. Gained access to the cylinder heads and can see several wiring pig tails chewed in half. Will need to replace the 2 coil harnesses. On the test drive after repairing the harness with the scanner installed did notice very slight cylinder miss fires on cylinders 1,5 and 7. Possibly due to carbon build up in the intake valves. We cleaned the rodent nests out. The low windshield washer light is on. Installed 1 gal of washer solvent however the washer solvent light remained on. Found the wiring pig tail for the washer solvent level sensor also chewed up. Replaced harness
    • splice in both coil pig tails and windshield washer level sensor pig tail

    • The plastic pipe that was broken is for the fresh air filter to the charcoal canister. We cut the broken elbow and spliced in a new hose. This is not a critical component and the repair will work perfectly for many years.

    • Confirmed there is a ticking noise from the engine compartment. With the vehicle running raised the vehicle to verify where on the engine the noise was from. No lower engine noise all the ticking seems to be from the upper engine. Noise is consistent with lifters. The engine oil is 1 1/2 quarts low (topped off engine oil) when the van was started there was a oil pressure light that did flash on momentarily suspect this may be related to low engine oil. Performed a oil pressure test and at this time there seems to be good oil pressure. After adding the engine oil the ticking noise has gotten better but is still present. Checked with the manufacture for warranty and the lifter and cams have a 12 month or 12000 mile warranty. The vehicle has almost 20000 miles and repairs were performed in 9/01/2023.
